More New Developments

Daniel and I had a wonderful time in the US over Christmas, spending lots of time with both our families and enjoying all of the American food and experiences we could cram into a month. Here are some pictures we took over Christmas at the Nichols.

Although unknown to us at the time, above was our first picture as a family of 3. Shortly after the holidays we found out that we are expecting.  Recently, we learned that we are expecting a baby GIRL. We are excited, busy, and full of the normal jitters about this huge life change.

As I'm told it will be forevermore, motherhood has brought many opportunities for new anxiety.  Malaria, food- and waterborne pathogens, Zika, finding insurance and quality maternity services, long international flights with newborns, finding baby equipment that meets current safety standards, finances, childcare, and being far from family are just a few of the current and upcoming stressors we grapple with.

But God has also brought us so much peace throughout the pregnancy so far.  We recognize this as an opportunity to trust and believe in his provision in new ways.  Please join with us in celebrating this new life, and praying for baby girl.
